I thought I'd post my thoughts on the two new games Ive got for the Xbox 360 that rock.

The newest one would be Assassin's Creed II. I have already beat the game because I played it non stop, I'm still playing it to unlock all the tidbits and secret stuff within but this games is my new favorite. The first one was good but this one surpasses it easily. It's just so in depth and additive I would defintely recommend giving it a go. I think Adventure game fans would enjoy it for sure even though it has fighting elements.

Also I picked up the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare II which is pretty cool, I dont like it as much as the other COD's, maybe because theres just so much going on in the multiplayer mode. The campaign is good though. I saw Brooms playing it so I was interested to know what he and others thought about these.

I'm waiting to rent ACII but I was a big fan of the first one, the CoD games never really peaked my interest because I don't play FPS online and the campaign is less than 5 hours. I'm not the type of person to shell out 70 bucks for5 hours of entertainment. That's like buying a movie ticket that's 35 bucks. I have recently played the Grand Theft Auto semi exclusive DLC The Ballad of Gay Tony and it's actually really good, I like it more than the stand alone game. This one expansion is longer than MW2. Other games on my list include Dragon Age and Borderlands.

My favorite recent game is "Brutal Legend."  The rock 'n roll fantasy element lends so much to the game's atmosphere, and everywhere you look is something mind-blowingly epic (i.e. a field of giant stone hands throwing up the horns.)  It only took a couple days to finish, but the imagination and the way all the music is handled during key plot moments makes me want to go back and play it again.

I share the same views as QFG Fan. Although I did buy Modern Warfare 2 anyway because I don't mind a bit of online first person player I found the campaign to be bloody brilliant. Great story, well fleshed out and kept me interested throughout. I'm playing Assassins Creed at the moment and that is an excellent, well fully immersive experience. Great story so far and so much to do and so many places to explore. I haven't played much but so far I am very impressed.

Now, Brutual Legend. I thought the story was brilliant and I've already completed it but... I haven't touched it since then. I was slightly disappointed with Brutal Legend, not because of the story because I thought it was great but the lastability just wasn't there for me. But it was a great game, but unfortunately it was a rental for me than a purchase. Mainly because I wasn't too fond of the RTS missions which were a bit awkward at times. Not because they were difficult, they were just a bit strange. Tim Schafer still rocks, though.

If anyone wants an ass kicking, or most likely wants to kick my ass my gamertag is JMBroomie.

I've gotta say Tales of Monkey Island. I'm currently playing (what I believe to be) the ending sequence of the final chapter. This game was indeed EPIC.

heading down to my blockbuster tomorrow. Probably going to pick up Assasin's Creed II. I've heard nothing but good things about it from everyone I know. World of Warcraft just came out with a major content patch last Tuesday which is supposed to be the culmination of the story arc that was started in Warcraft III. I think there are going to be some interesting twists in there before they hand over the franchise to a new villain. This Holiday season though, I must say, isn't nearly as exciting as last year when I had Metal Gear and Fallout 3 both dividing my attention along with a few other notable titles like Mirror's edge. Speaking of which the only interesting game this year that wasn't a franchise was Brutal Legend which I agree with Broomie about. It was fun to play it and beat it and I considered buying it for Tim Curry alone but the RTS really bothered me and once I beat it I had no drive to play it anymore. The side quests weren't overly rewarding like I had hoped. Having a Windows issue though that's preventing me from finishing Tales of Monkey Island. Does anyone know when the CD version is going to get released to those who bought the full season last summer? I don't want to check the website since it usually is covered in spoilers and I'm REALLY far behind.

(rereads post... decides to go to sleep)

Oh yeah, completed it yesterday. Absolutely awesome.

Let's hope for a second season soon!

I just finished playing "Tales of Monkey Island" last night as well.  "Epic" sums it up really well, and until now, I don't think there have actually been any Monkey Island games that could be described as epic.  A lot of heart and attitude went into making sure Guybrush worked for the win this time.

Hey, this might seem like a weird question for those that havent played Assasin's Creed 2 yet, but for those that have: Has anyone found all of the Glyphs yet? This part of the game was an installment that I thought was genius. There are Glyphs scattered throughout each map.Everytime you find a glyph you have to solve a puzzle, some are more challenging than others but once solved you unlock a short clip of video. To figure out what the video is in entirety you have to find them all.

I finally found them all and solved the video, this game is awesome. Also theirs a Giant squid easter egg and other goodies as well.
