September 19th is International Talk Like A Pirate Day, so make Guybrush Threepwood proud!
So, how many of you are going to be participating in this? I know I will, just so scare the crap outta my feminist women's studies class.

Weeeell, for ye online business, I may treat it as "Type like a Pirate Day." x3
But what about the Dread Pirate Roberts? Shouldn't the day be renamed, "Talk like a Stereotypical Pirate Day" since the Dread Pirate Roberts kinda, y'know, didn't "talk" like a "pirate"?

>>; Guybrush didn't really either... oh well.
Ahhh, Westley. I have a rather personal beef with his book-version, but ANYway. I don't consider him a pirate. I consider him a... ... um... blonde... Zorro... mask-wearing... acrobatic... guy. Yeah.

Hehe. I get so frustrated when playing this one RP game with my son. The kids/teens there are always stumped when I tell them to "Have fun stormin' the castle!"

I was so happy to see that line in KQIII, too. You must educate them! It's a great movie... And it's also awesome that you RP with your son and his friends. I hope to do that with my kids when I have them.

Ah, but he HAS to be a pirate since he has "Dread Pirate" in his name, and if he's lying about that, then it makes him even MORE of a pirate since pirates aren't expected to be honorable and chivalric! (William Turner can go shut up - stupid blacksmith without any muscles! Grr!) Guybrush does! You just need to pick the right conversation lines at the right moments. X3 I used to run an online D&D game, but stopped when they began frustrating me. I'm going to try it again, and if they piss me off... just pull them into a FMV or randomly teleport them into a dungeon. 's what I did, despite the fact that it made "WTF!" the most-said thing that session.

LOL you ran a game? I bet that was a lot of work!
In the game I play with my son, Maple Story (a rather feeble attempt at role playing; really it's just killing monsters eternally and hoping you level some time this month), I can't suck anyone into a dungeon, alas....wish there was a way. While there are some older teens, college kids and even some people my age there...it's mostly kids around age 13-15 not too high on the maturity level.
Bugaloo, yes it is pretty cool playing with him. But I need to correct you. We play with my friends, not his LOL. He can't type :p All my buddies train him and give him stuff so he's good as gold though. lol It's silly fun but a good way to kill time now and then.

It was! But it was through MSN, so coorinating the games was a bit difficult. @@ It didn't help that said people were also serious RPer's and took their time writing their poses. =x
I played Maple Story once... Then I got bored. =x I play TricksterOnline myself -- it's like RO, but with better graphics in my opinion. x3
