Hi all,

I have the ingredients to make spells, im trying to make cookies, but i keep being turned into half cat.

Also, can you run out of savegames?  As i cannot save anymore, even when I rename some older savegames.

Have you got all the other items you would require? (Bowl, Spoon etc)

I have the same problem too. I want to add the root in the bowl but it is impossible. It is the same problem for an other spell (I can't add the feather in the bowl).
I have all the ingedients but the spell don't work.

If you have all the ingredients in your inventory, you should just be able to open the spell book, click on the spell you want to cast, and click "CAST." The game should do it all for you. Triple-check that you have everything and you've done that, and if it still doesn't work tell us and we'll look into it. Thanks for your concern and support!

I'm stuck, but not with the spells per se. I've got all the ingredients and have successfully cast them. However once I do I go back up to the study to put the magic wand back and I get caught by Mananan. Am I not doing it fast enough, or is there something you have to do first?

Remember to watch the clock. Just like in the original, Manannan leaves and returns at certain times. You need to make sure you have everything taken care of before that happens.

I haven't played the original game, I didn't realize there was a clock. How then do I find out when he's coming back? How much time do I have?

The clock is in the GUI (aka the place where you save/restore/turn up speed/etc.) and counts along as a regular clock.

Manannan is seen in intervals. Five minutes into the game (5:00) he goes on a journey, and then you have 25 minutes (until the clock says 30:00) to do everything you can and hide everything and prepare it all before he returns. If you're stuck with magic items or items that could be used to make magic items while he's around, you're poofed, so you need to make sure you don't have any of that on you when time is up. If you haven't completed everything by 30:00, the cycle repeats itself and Manannan leaves again or goes to sleep at 35:00 and doesn't return until 1:00:00. Good luck!

I have gathered all the spell ingredients but it does not show the items in my inventory. For instance, I got the acorns. They are not shown in my inventory. When I try to get more, it says I already have them. Same thing with the nightshade and the cactus. They are not visible. So when I try to cast the spell, it does not work. What can I do? Thanks!

This is odd. Did you get mugged after you got those items?.. Or perhaps you stored them under the bed.

No such "missing item" bug has been recorded before, so my best answer is to double check that you havent "misplaced"
these items somewhere in the game.

If you need more help, give me more info on what you did before and after getting the items.

Well ... I got the acorns and went straight to the lab to cast the spell with them. It failed. So I went back to pick up more acorns and it said I already had acorns but I cannot see them in my inventory. I did the same thing with the cactus. I picked it up and went straight to the lab to cast the spell. The spell failed and I looked in my inventory after restoring the game and it did not appear there. I had all my items from under the bed and I got mugged before I picked up these two items.

Well, you'll need to retrace your steps carefully. If you got each items before going up and casting the spell, and then casted the spell and it failed.. then as a result you died.

So did you save the game after you took the item (before casting the spell)? or did you restore before you even got those items?

Somthing tells me this is human error, but we'll keep on tracing your footsteps until you find the items.

The inventory can also be finicky on occasion, so you might try scrolling up in the inventory also.  Sometimes the inventory box is shown farther down below where your items appear.

Okay... I'm having a problem with Understanding the Animal's language spell, while all the other spells work.
I have a bowl, eagle's feather, Kenny's fur, dried snake skin, a bowl of powdered fish bone,
and a thimble with flower's dew in it. It seems I have all the needed ingredients, but after I use CAST, Gwydion keeps turning into that Ear Gnome from KQ6 all the time.
I thought the kitchen spoon might be giving a problem but as seeing the other thread (spoonful of mud is gone from the inventory with a spoon after using it for magic), looks like it isn't.
I have even restarted the game from the beginning but the thing never changed.
Is this a random bug or am I still missing something ? Somebody plz help
